Sam & Vikki restored “Brittania” raising their family on it at the same time. They then chartered the boat in the Scottish Highlands until 1986. Then age 70, quite by chance came across her again, derelict and rotting. Bought her back for £1.00 and took the decision to bring her back to life. 10 years on 2nd restoration nearly completed and at the moment in Exeter Docks. Very interesting story.

Ilfracombe Yacht Club (IYC) have been running this popular race since 2005. Yachts from all around the Bristol channel take part, from large racing yachts with crews as many as 9 to cruising yachts as small as 22ft and some single handed. Entries from WYC are normal.
